BIOGRAPHY
People always ask what my influences have been. Musically, I've definitely been inspired by the Latin American harpists, who, in my opinion, are the best in the world. What they do with polyrhythmic meter and syncopated melody is nothing short of astounding. ( That's musical jargon for "lots of  fun")! Of course, I've also been influenced by Classical, Celtic, and good old American Jazz, Blues, and Pop.

My spiritual life has also effected my approach to music. To be of service to others and to offer something of beauty to the world is my religion. For more information on how this desire has influenced my music please visit the section entitled harp therapy.

No biography section would be complete without a discussion of family  history. My mother's side of the family is Romanian - a country with a large "Romani" (Gypsy) population, and I do enjoy playing Gypsy music. Could it be genetic? Beware the
hidden Gypsy gene! My father's side comes from the Northwest Carpathian mountains, and the first song on my second CD is dedicated to that region.

I suppose one of my primary musical goals has been to educate the public on the vast range of musical expression that can be accomplished on the harp, but which rarely is. I love it when people tell me "we never knew the harp could be so beautiful and so different". I hear it often, and consider it a great compliment.

I remain grateful for every opportunity I've ever had to play music for people. Every opportunity has been a unique experience - full of richness, challenges and incredibly transcendent "highs".

Thanks for listening. Thanks for learning. Thanks for loving.
